This Newport News, VA engagement session is one of my favorites. Partly because I love everything about it, and also because Abi is one of my best friends! Remember Emily & Dillon’s wedding last week? (Click here to see it!) Emily is Abi’s sister, so we used the wedding as an excuse to spend a couple days together at Abi’s home in Virginia.

I knew Ross might be popping the question pretty soon, so we did a pre-engagement shoot before I headed back to Greenville…. but they’re engaged now!!!! I love these two so, so much. I still remember dragging Abi out to a mill with me after I bought my first DSLR 2.5 years ago to model for me (such a good sport!). I had no idea what an amazing friend she’d become, and how much I’d miss being in college with her, eating ice cream out of a carton while watching Netflix, and having long talks. I also got to know Ross more and love him too- mostly because of the genuine smile he puts on my sweet friend’s face, but also because he’s pretty cool! 😉  

We started at a park in Newport News, VA, then headed to the coast of the Chesapeake Bay for some lovely engagement shots. I cannot wait to stand by their side at their wedding, and for more adventures in the future with this amazing couple! Here are some of my favorites of these two! Oh how I just love those genuine smiles! <3

And of course I had to get a few!! Glad we got at least one normal one 😉
